One of Europe’s biggest carnivals has taken place again in the Croatian city of Rijeka on Sunday, February 11th with more than 10,000 people in 104 carnival groups from all over Croatia and abroad took part in the traditional parade. It is always nice to see those people, creativity at work and hear all the laughter and tradition still going on. I've been coming here for 4 years now. I'm in love with this beautiful city. The International Carnival parade draws people in and has been a February tradition in the city since 1982. In Rijeka every year nearly month before the parade citizens of Rijeka start their carnival entertainment such as concerts and charity events. On the day of their carnival, they dress up in a range of different costumes to show their creativity on floats in downtown Rijeka, after which they go out to celebrate all night long. I'll put pictures below of the carnival and of Rijeka, check them out!

thanks for checking it out,

hope you had a lovely day

xx
